<p> </p>
<p>Maybe you work best at your local coffee shop. Or maybe on your couch. Some even take the traditional approach and work on a (gasp) desk. </p>
<p>But for many millennials and young professionals, the traditional, immobile desk is somewhat of a thing of the past.</p>
<p>On the <a title="Millennious Podcast" href="http://millennio.us" target="_blank">Millennious Podcast</a> (episode 17) eric and I somehow found ourselves in a rant where we couldn&#8217;t stop talking about things that happened &#8220;back in our day.&#8221; I feel like your traditional desk&#8230; the only place where you could do work, is gone.</p>
<p>It could be that we have all of these newfangled laptop and netbook options that leave us to be creative with what&#8217;s nearby. </p>
<p>PC or Mac, Laptop (and/or) desktop&#8230; back in my day, you only had one. Now many people have one of each. punks.</p>
<p>However, Many are fortunate to have extra space at home, where one can set up a fancy multi-monitor configuration (where everything syncs and is easily unpluged), similar to <a title="Best Computer (PC and Mac) Computer Desk Setups" href="http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3373/3437661293_3ca1443730.jpg&amp;imgrefurl=http://www.glitteringstones.com/blog/tag/greatest-computer-workstation/&amp;usg=__eqo1pduwdmnvh_V4sMUkVa3ylg0=&amp;h=333&amp;w=500&amp;sz=109&amp;hl=en&amp;start=80&amp;um=1&amp;tbnid=-uLjLnMGeyYQ7M:&amp;tbnh=87&amp;tbnw=130&amp;prev=/images%3Fq%3Ddesk%2Bsetups%26ndsp%3D21%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26start%3D63%26um%3D1" target="_blank">these choice setups</a>. Need some inspiration for your own &#8220;dream desk setup?&#8221; Here are a <a title="Desk Setups to Envy" href="http://www.ahoys.com/blog/7-seriously-enviable-office-desk-setups" target="_blank">few more to envy</a>. </p>
<div id="attachment_865" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://techyness.com/wordpress_new/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/wallmount2.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-865" title="wallmount2" src="http://techyness.com/wordpress_new/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/wallmount2-300x200.jpg" alt="Wall Mount Your Monitor for added space" width="300" height="200" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">Wall Mount Your Monitor for added space</p></div>
<p> </p>
<p>In doing some additional research, I&#8217;m really liking the idea of a wall-mounted monitor (to save space, plus it looks awesome). </p>
<p>Maybe I&#8217;ll do this with my TV. When I buy one (eventually). The possibilities are endless. </p>
<p>A key aspect of one of these setups is appropriate desktop wallpaper. Don&#8217;t forget it. It&#8217;s like matching your purse with your outfit (sorry boys).</p>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<div id="attachment_866" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://techyness.com/wordpress_new/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/macparty.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-866" title="macparty" src="http://techyness.com/wordpress_new/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/macparty-300x199.jpg" alt="The whole family. Together." width="300" height="199" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">The whole mac family. Together.</p></div>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<p>The amount of computational devices we own really forces the need for an organized setup with multiple monitors and of course, a place for your smart phone. </p>
<p>Or, in the case of the photo on the left, a true family affair.</p>
