And what’s more official than a pie chart? Everyone loves colorful graphs, right?

If FriendFeed had a business intelligence reporting platform, it would be GeekChart. This site pulls in your activity from a few (more to come) sites like twitter, flikr, stumbleupon, blog rss feeds and last.fm (facebook is coming soon) and displays where your geekiness resides.

According to Geek Chart, in the past 30 days, I’m 66% twitter, 26% blog and 8% stumbleupon… [I'll have to check back when he adds additional apps]

What’s really fun is to compare your GeekChart against those of other recent geek-chart-ers via the gallery. Due to the number of “updates” that one posts to twitter, it seems to dominate the charts of others as well. (This makes sense as the proportions are determined via the RSS and ATOM feeds from these sites).

I wish it would allow you to put multiple blogs in the geek chart! What if you’re running multiple accounts? humm..

Business Card Editor via BizCardRobot (note: not real phone number, haha)

Anyway, after doing a little digging, I’m totally impressed to see that GeekChart is the creation of one dude- Steve DeGraeve, who has an entire portfolio of web apps he has developed, including the Business Card Robot, which allows you to upload a logo and add text fields easily.

Then, once you’re satisfied with your creation, the tool allows you to download it for FREE- so you can either print on your home printer or take it to Kinkos or something.

A few more of Steve’s app gems include Cube Status- a twitter visualization page that pulls all tweets from the Twitter API that mention “Cube” or “Cubicle.” This is similar to Twistori, a site that displays tweets that mention Love/Hate/Think. Also, he has an icon generator, a biorhythm generator, and even a generator that converts text to gif…

And it all started with a simple pie chart… life.

However, there are a few sites that can help you decipher through the crazy web of information that links to you (Via TImesUnion.com)

First check out 123people.com, a site that was featured on Killer Startups, who said “ype in any name and 123 will pull up contact information—phone numbers, email addresses, images, and any media available, i.e. videos, profiles, tags, and weblinks. If you’ve got videos on Youtube, a LinkedIn profile, a Wiki article, even a Facebook or Google account, 123 People will find it.” You can also search by geographical region — and it’s free.

Spokeo Search Results-- 184 friends on Pandora!?!

The site found all the pictures of me via images.google.com, links that mentioned me, documents on the web that featured my name, a tag cloud of relevant words, links to all social networking pages, and even links to pages that are considered “biographical” in nature. humm.

Second, check out Spokeo, a site that searches through social networking sites– including facebook, flikr, myspace, webshots, youtube, amazon, livejournal, picasa, imeem, linkedin – the whole lot. According to Wikipedia, Spokeo was founded in 2006 by Stanford grads. It’s kindof free, but kindof not free (subscription method).

To use Spokeo, all you need is an email address and it automatically searches for information on your gmail (or hotmail, etc) contacts.

If you don’t like what you see on these sites, simply note what you found and from what site — and login to that site and change your security preferences. Better now than later, trust me

It’s a (basically) normal Monday afternoon.

I’m hanging out at the Energy corporate headquarters in Atlanta, waiting for a few email responses, so I decide to get a head start on my weekly post for the GE IMLP Blog. (Mind you, my blog used to come up in the first results page in google for GE IMLP before the blog, but no hard feelings you know?)

Anyway, so I’m writing my post and trying to resize and crop some graphics. Sounds easy right? Well, I don’t have photoshop on my work laptop and my trusty macbook pro with the full adobe cs3 suite is back home (and missing me).

So, I start to Google around and find Picnik. Amazing. It’s basically love at webapp first sight. (Plus they are headquartered in downtown seattle… instant cool.) The picnik team is composed of some pretty cool guys- the CEO sold a previous application to Google.

For free, you can upload your images and edit them within your browser. No fancy or expensive editing software needed. Once your image is uploaded, you can crop it, add text, change it to a black & white photo, lower the resolution if you’re using the image on the web, render it as a different image type (jpg to gif if you’re interested), add a border… pretty awesome.

And it also integrates with your photos from facebook, myspace, and flikr. But don’t let the name “picnik” throw you off… no food here (sorry).
