One of my favorite “extras” featured at SXSW interactive in Austin, TX was the visual notetaking that took place at every major keynote and panel, in real time, by someone with much better handwriting than yours truly.

Since there were simultanous events happening all over the city of Austin, it was nearly impossible to catch everything – but luckily there was a trained “visual notetaker” who stood at the front of the room, with multiple markers in hand, listening intently and diagramming throughout the presentation.
