Sometimes Technology Requires (Lined) Notecards

Earlier today, I stumbled upon Indexed, a site that really embodies what techyness is all about.

Why?

Anyone who draws diagrams about techy, nerdy things on lined index cards is good in my book.

This one is not only:
a) applicable during flu/virus season
b) makes sense for people who <3 computers
c) anyone who has good memories of lined notecards

Back In My Day, We had to Right Click for Status Messages.

While updating my current location on Foursquare earlier today, I found myself thrown back in time to the year 2003/2004, when I was just about to graduate high school…

Remember those days that you had to run to your computer and check your buddy list to see what people were doing? When you had to physically right click on EACH PERSON'S NAME to "get info?"

When You:
I realized the other day that my children will not experience this right clicking madness, but instead will be relying on mobile apps to where their friends are. OH and parents will be using mobile apps to see where their children are (verizon commerical anyone?)

Just another throwback to the good ol' days. Do you ever miss the simplicity of AIM?

Love for My Newest Gadget: Mr.Bento.

Sometimes gadgets aren't electronic at all.

Sometimes they're just awesome.

I received a bento box (very much like this, but in a different color) for a gift not long ago, and I've fallen in love with the pure techyness of it all. While many in my office building bring their lunch housed in your average plastic grocery bag, I find my lunch stored in one of these bad boys. This blogger from Pittsburgh tells it like it is with her photos of creative lunches stored in her own bento.

I think Oprah said it best: "Don't you deserve better than a soggy sandwich in a brown bag? Having to eat at your desk doesn't mean you can't pamper yourself. Fill these sleek, stackable serving pieces with whatever makes you happy, attach the latch, and have your own private picnic." — Oprah
