The Techyness of.. Desk Configuration
Maybe you work best at your local coffee shop. Or maybe on your couch. Some even take the traditional approach and work on a (gasp) desk.
But for many millennials and young professionals, the traditional, immobile desk is somewhat of a thing of the past.
On the Millennious Podcast (episode 17) eric and I somehow found ourselves in a rant where we couldn’t stop talking about things that happened “back in our day.” I feel like your traditional desk… the only place where you could do work, is gone.
It could be that we have all of these newfangled laptop and netbook options that leave us to be creative with what’s nearby.
PC or Mac, Laptop (and/or) desktop… back in my day, you only had one. Now many people have one of each. punks.
However, Many are fortunate to have extra space at home, where one can set up a fancy multi-monitor configuration (where everything syncs and is easily unpluged), similar to these choice setups. Need some inspiration for your own “dream desk setup?” Here are a few more to envy.
In doing some additional research, I’m really liking the idea of a wall-mounted monitor (to save space, plus it looks awesome).
Maybe I’ll do this with my TV. When I buy one (eventually). The possibilities are endless.
A key aspect of one of these setups is appropriate desktop wallpaper. Don’t forget it. It’s like matching your purse with your outfit (sorry boys).
The amount of computational devices we own really forces the need for an organized setup with multiple monitors and of course, a place for your smart phone.
Or, in the case of the photo on the left, a true family affair.
