Clutch…or Computer? Designers go Digital.
Vivienne Tam has proved that fashion week goes beyond clothes and can move into technology.
During New York Fashion Week, HP + Vivienne Tam showcased the HP computer “clutch” that’s pretty enough to carry alone (especially if you have a red silk dress…)
At $699, it’s a little piece of high fashion without having to spend over 1k on a dress. Weighing in at 2.25 pounds and with a 10.2″ LCD screen, it’s small, but splurge-worthy. AND it includes an embroidered sleeve.
PLUS… carrying something like this is the true essence of techyness. Technology doesn’t have to be boring! Take into account my winged macbook pro and a post I wrote on August 9th, 2007 on “extending your personality onto your personal device.”
Dell is following suit with the artist designed laptop covers (additional $75) in a wide variety of colors and designs– they remind me a lot of gelaskins (which are less money!)
