Like every college student on the SU campus, I take my iPod with me just about everywhere. And when you’re at the gym and set it down to sign in, or if its out on the desk at the computer cluster, people notice it.
With this cover, I get a lot of “double takes.” People are amazed by my cover, available via Gelaskins.
What I love about these covers is that there are so many options. Not only in terms of your personal gadgets, but visually.
This simple cover designed by Alex Noriega of Barcelona has opened up a new world of finding art and design on the web. Gelaskins does a great job of attributing work to the artists with detailed bios and links to webfolios.
It has led me to his thumbtack press page, where I fell in love with this print.
Following links on his page brought me to Poketo! a unique online shop that sell artistic wallets for $20, interesting homewares like the “open” opener for $16, and more. Alex’s art is featured on t-shirts and wallets.
